IKEA recalls to repair KRITTER and SNIGLAR junior beds due to laceration hazard
[National]  End month: January 2015
IKEA asks customers who have a KRITTER or SNIGLAR junior bed to immediately stop using the bed and check the product label on the headboard or on the underside of the bed to see if your unit is affected by this recall.

IKEA has received reports of the metal rod breaking at the attachment point to the bed side rail. This can result in partial detachment of the guard rail and exposed sharp metal edges that present a laceration hazard.

Only KRITTER junior beds with date stamp (YYWW) from 1114 to 1322 and SNIGLAR junior beds with date stamp from 1114 to 1318 are affected. The date stamp appears on a label attached to either the headboard or the underside of the bed. Model number for KRITTER is 600.904.70 and for SNIGLAR 500.871.66, supplier number for KRITTER is 15361 and for SNIGLAR 19740 or 18157, are printed on the same label.

If you have one of the affected junior beds please contact customer service at (888) 966-4532 to receive a repair kit free of charge. The repair kit contains a replacement metal rod, tools and instruction sheet.

No other IKEA beds are affected by this recall.

IKEA apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
