4 easy gifts for Christmas hosts

Being invited to Christmas parties is a treat. But how can you thank your hosts without gifting a box of sugary sweets or adding to your stress? Make them feel appreciated for all the hard work with our tasty, not-so-much-work holiday party gift ideas.

1. ALMOST HOME-MADE JAMS It’s the thought that counts, and we think these jams are great because they can be used with appetizers or dessert at whatever event is next. Just take a 3-pack of KORKEN jars, fill each with your food jams, add ribbons and decorate the box (it comes with the jars).

2. FRESH-BAKED BREAD Add to the delicious dinner party smells and give the hosts a hot multigrain loaf that goes well with leftovers. A loaf dish and ribbon or a cute tea towel make it extra special.
A jar of crisp breadsticks and a jar of layers of different flavours of hummus decorated with fabric thank-yous
3. HEALTHY HUMMUS DIP Help your hosts through the day after clean-up with a mini-meal. We filled one KORKEN jar with crisp breadsticks and layered another with different kinds of hummus (garlic, basil, sundried tomato). Home-made or store-bought? You decide. Then tie on a hand-sewn thanks!

4. MINI MARZIPAN SCENES For a festive Christmas feel (and a smidge of sugary goodness), mould your own marzipan snow globe! Trees and snow friends are forgiving, simple shapes. Paint them with food colouring and add coconut snow. Draw more scenery on a clear jar, and you’re good to go.
