For your convenience we offer several complementary services. We are here to help you before, during and after shopping.

Planners, guides and tools

Planning and designing your kitchen couldn’t be easier - with our free and easy to use web-based IKEA Kitchen Planner. You can design your dream kitchen just by selecting the units and appliances into the layout. Try different colours and materials, select drawers and sinks and finish off with suitable door knobs and wall materials. And all the time you can see your creation in a 3D environment where it is easy to see what your dream kitchen would look like and how it would work.

Your saved kitchen layouts can be opened in all the IKEA stores in Finland, allowing you to finish your design with our experienced Kitchen Department staff.

IKEA for children

Children usually prefer playing to shopping. We try to make their IKEA visits as attractive and entertaining as possible. We have a ball pool, trolleys for children, changing tops, microwave ovens for heating baby food, a children’s menu in the restaurant and competitions and events for children - all this helps to make IKEA visits pleasurable for the whole family. A free playroom with a ball pool is available where you can leave your children in the capable hands of professionals who take care of them while you are shopping.

Age limits: Espoo 3-7 years; Vantaa, Tampere and Raisio: 3-8 years.

Please note that there is no catering in the playroom.

Gift cards

Do you want to delight your family and friends with a present from IKEA? Why not give them an electronic gift card and let them choose their present themselves. Pick up an IKEA gift card at the checkout and have the cashier charge it with the amount you want to give. Gift cards are transferable and have unlimited validity. You can use them in all IKEA stores in Finland. The charged amount does not have to be drawn during one shopping trip.

Our generous return and exhange policy

We offer our customers a generous return and exchange policy. If you are not satisfied with your purchases, you can return any IKEA-product within 90 days of the purchase! Only exceptions are mattresses (see our mattress exchange policy below) and products bought from our As-Is Corner which do not fall within our return and exchange policy.

All returns are refunded with our store credit. The receipt of the purchase is required when returning or exchanging products. If you are unsure whether or not a product can be returned, or have other questions concerning our return and exchange policy, please contact our customer service.

Test you new mattress for 90 nights

You can try your new SULTAN mattress in the comfort of your home for 90 nights! According to experienced orthopaedists, it takes 2 or 3 nights before you get used to sleeping on a new mattress. That’s why we’re offering you the possibility to try your new mattress at home for 90 nights. If you discover that your mattress is too firm or too soft you can exchange it to a new one in the same size. We will help you to find the mattress that suits you best. If the new mattress is cheaper than the one you have bought, the difference is loaded into an IKEA refund card. If the new mattress is more expensive than the one you bought you pay the difference yourself.

Swedish specialties

Surprise your friends and family with Swedish specialties. Herrings, crisp bread, lingonberry jam - these are some of the delicacies you can find in our Swedish shop. You can also buy your favourite meals, such as meatballs, from the IKEA restaurant and prepare them at home. In addition, we provide you with recipes and serving tips. Are you hungry after shopping at IKEA? Pick up a delicious hot dog, refreshing ice cream or another delicacy in our Bistro next to our store’s exit.

Restaurant & Cáfe IKEA

Shopping can be exhausting. But don’t worry, we know where you can replenish your energy levels. In every IKEA store you will find the IKEA restaurant and bistro. Our restaurant offers traditional meals and Swedish specialities. It is one of the most popular parts of the IKEA store. During or after shopping, relax for a while and enjoy a tasty meal and a cup of coffee at unbeatable prices!

Delivery and picking service

Most of our goods are packed in smart flat packages, which makes them easy to handle and transport. We also offer picking and delivery services to help you to realise your dreams. Our picking service will save you the trouble of collecting the goods you want from our warehouse. To complement this, our delivery service carries your goods to your home, saving you time and energy.

Please note that fragile items (such as plants, glass ware, etc.) are not included in our delivery service.

Rent a van!

You can transport our products very easily yourself because they are packed in flat packages. You can take them home today if you like and you will save money too. If you didn’t come by car or your car is not large enough to accommodate your purchases, you can rent a van from our stores. Vans cannot be reserved beforehand, but are rented to customers on a first come, first served basis.

Rental €35 / 1.5 hours
After 1.5 hours, each starting half hour costs an extra €20. Extra charges are paid when returning the car.
Please note that you will need a valid driving licence when renting a van. The rental fees must be paid by card.

Installation and assembly service

IKEA furniture is easy to assemble. You will find everything you need in the package. If you don’t want to assemble your furniture yourself, please contact our assembly service provider who offers home assembly of IKEA products for a reasonable price. For further details and rates, please contact the Customer Service Desk.

Recycling

We will take care of your old mattress or sofa! For each mattress/sofa you buy from an IKEA store and have delivered to your home, we will take one old mattress/sofa for recycling.

Mattress for mattress and sofa for sofa: for every mattress or sofa you buy we carry away one old mattress or sofa. Our recycling service is only sold as a part of the delivery service.
Our recycling service is available for postal code areas 00000-38999.
Please note that the recycling service is not available in the Turku archipelago and Åland.
