A decorative hood can really enhance the look of your kitchen while performing the essential task of extracting cooking odors, steam and grease from the air.
Out with odors, steam and grease. In with fresh air! You can choose to show off the hood as a bold design feature, or to incorporate a discrete fan in an overhead cabinet which matches the rest of the kitchen. Either way, the size and power of the unit should be proportionate to the size of the room, to optimize performance while minimizing noise and energy consumption. The hood also provides good light to cook.
The air-cleaning function of the hood or fan can be carried out in two different ways: either by extraction, in which steam, smoke and cooking odors are expelled outdoors through ducts in the wall or ceiling, or by filtering and recycling the air through a charcoal filter. The filter system is most common in apartment buildings, where extraction is not a structural possibility. All our hoods and fans are tested for efficiency and ease of maintenance; in most of them the removable metal grease filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
