UTZ Certified Coffee
As of May 31, 2008, IKEA is now serving and selling six new IKEA FOOD coffee products that are UTC certified. UTZ is the largest certification program for coffee production and it consists on the special care for the product, the people and the environment. The coffee is of the best quality and it is produced under strict food safety regulations. The people growing the coffee are provided with water, housing, healthcare and training. The environmental impact is reduced with good soil and water management preventing soil erosion and deforestation.
