This document regulates the general terms and conditions of use of the website of IKEA PORTUGAL – MÓVEIS E DECORAÇÃO, LDA., with registered office at Estrada Nacional 250, Rua 28 de Setembro, Frielas, 2660-001 Loures, Corporate Tax Number 505 416 654, registered at the Loures Companies and Land Registration Office under the same number (hereinafter, “IKEA” and “Website”).

I – GENERAL ASPECTS
The use of the Website automatically gives the User capacity and implies full and unreserved acceptance of all the provisions included in the Terms and Conditions, in the version in force whenever you access the Website.

If you do not fully agree with any of the conditions set forth, you should not access/use the Website. When you consult or use the Website, or download content from it, you undertake to respect the conditions set forth in this document.

The User doesn't need to register in order to use the Website. However, some of the features of the Website could depend on registration.

  • PRODUCTS CATALOGUE

You'll find the products sold by IKEA in its physical stores in Portugal on the Website. The product information shown on the Website only intends to provide a short, informative summary for the visitor’s convenience.

IKEA makes every effort to ensure that the information and data on the Website are accurate and up-to-date when they are added to the Website. However, IKEA makes no commitment to update or correct this information. IKEA makes no express or implicit guarantee as to the accuracy or completeness of any information (including information on goods and services) included in the Website.

IKEA reserves the right to change, delete or move any information on the Website, at any time, without prior notice.

Users expressly accept and recognise that:

  • The photos shown on the Website are for illustration purposes only, and the Users should consult detailed information on the products and their respective characteristics / specifications in the Stores;
  • The price shown is the price recommended by IKEA, but this may vary depending on the Store chosen;
  • IKEA will make every reasonable effort to include accurate up-to-date information on the products on the Website, but this is not guaranteed;
  • IKEA does not guarantee the items shown on the Website are in stock, nor does it accept responsibility for discontinued items.

IKEA makes available, in its Website, the possibility of the User to add various products sold by IKEA to a shopping list.

Once the User has selected the items he/she wants, he/she can print out His/her Shopping List, save it in his/her computer in PDF format or send it by email.

  • PLANNERS

IKEA makes available in its Website, the IKEA Planning Tools, a computer software that allows the User to try different combinations, designing a room, furnishing it, changing the furniture layout and choosing a variety of styles until he/she is happy with the result.

The User can view and print the options he/she thinkd are most satisfactory, including all the measurements.

The use of this computer software is dependent on reading and accepting the licence agreement concerning to it.

  • RECRUITMENT

IKEA makes available, in its Website, a search engine for exploring the jobs available in IKEA group companies. Please check the IKEA Recruitment Privacy Policy here

IV – REGISTERED USER PROFILE

  • REGISTRATION

In order to access a wider range of features, the User can register his/her profile on the Website.

For this purpose, the User must fill in a form in which, besides the optional elements, he/she must provide the data:

  • First and Last name;
  • Email address;
  • Password.

All the information the User provides should be true. The User should update the information he/she provides to IKEA whenever any changes occur. The User is exclusively responsible for any false or inaccurate statements he/she makes and for any damage caused to IKEA or third parties through the information he/she provides.

IKEA will not be responsible for any damages caused by misuse or negligence use of the password defined by the User for accessing to his/her profile. The User should assure the confidentiality of his/her password.

  • ADDITIONAL FEATURES

The Registered User will have access to a personal area, using the details he/she has specified on registration.

By means of registration, the User can access the following additional features:

  • PLANNERS AND SHOPPING LIST

The Registered User can save his/her plans and shopping lists on the IKEA server. This will allow him/her to consult them later.

  • RECRUITMENT

The Registered User can submit his/her CV (résumé) and Cover Letter to apply for the jobs available.

The Information provided by the User will be stored by IKEA, which may contact the Candidate about other jobs that may be of interest him/her.

V - PERSONAL DATA AND DATA SECURITY
IKEA is committed in protecting the security of your personal data. We use a variety of technologies and security procedures to help protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. For example, we store the personal data provided on computers and servers with limited access, located in controlled facilities.

The data processing carried out by IKEA complies with the legislation in force on personal data, particularly Law No. 67/98, of 26 October. Whenever applicable, this is notified to the National Data Protection Authority.

Your personal data may be used to provide important information on the services you've subscribed, including updates and notifications.

In addition, with your consent, we may send you business information on products and services from IKEA and its Partners. The personal data you provide will not be shared with third parties responsible for handling any data without your permission.

IKEA may hire other companies to provide services on behalf of IKEA, for example, website hosting, email, replying to users’ questions about services, sending information on new services and products, special offers. VI – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise provided for, all the Website’s materials, including the design, texts, graphics, photos and content displayed, are intellectual property held, controlled or licensed by IKEA. Any alteration, reproduction, duplication, copying, distribution, sale, resale and other forms of use, for business or other purposes, is prohibited.

The stipulations of this document should not be construed as granting any licence or right to any intellectual property held by the Company or by third parties.

VII – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The User is responsible for the content of the information the/she submits or uploads to the Website.

The User acknowledges that the use of the Website may not be 100% secure, and that there is a possibility that the information sent/received are intercepted by unauthorised parties. IKEA is not responsible for security breaches of the communications and accepts no responsibility for misuse of your information by third parties.

VIII – FINAL PROVISIONS
In the event of a breach of these Terms and Conditions, IKEA reserves the right to take any and all action provided for by law. In addition, IKEA reserves the right to, at its own discretion, terminate the access or use of the Website, with or without notifying the User.

The Terms and Conditions of use of the Website are regulated according to the laws of Portugal.

If any rule described herein becomes illegal, null or for any other reason unenforceable, this rule will be eliminated or reduced according to the law, but the validity and enforceability of the remaining conditions shall not be affected.

IKEA reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. The User is bound by the version of the Terms and Conditions in force each time the Website is used, so we recommend that you read it periodically.
