IKEA recalls IRIS and ALVINE Roman blinds for repair
If you have an IRIS or ALVINE Roman blind, with date stamp 0823 (yyww) and earlier we kindly ask you to contact Customer Services on a toll-free number; 0120−151-870 or the Exchanges and Returns Department at your local IKEA store, to receive a repair kit by post, free of charge. The repair kit includes a set of cord stops and an assembly instruction. No other types of IKEA window coverings are affected.
IRIS and ALVINE Roman blinds do not comply in full with a voluntary US industry safety standard for this type of product. The standard requires that blind operating cords are fitted with cord stops to reduce the risk of entanglement in cord loops.
The IKEA logo, supplier number and date stamp appear on a white label attached to the blind. IRIS and ALVINE Roman blinds with date stamp 0830 and later are fitted with cord stops and comply in full with the voluntary standard.
We do not compromise on product safety and therefore we recommend all customers concerned to attach the cord stop.
