| The goal of IFS is to enhance the visitors’ shopping experience by offering quality food in pleasant surroundings at competitive prices. A manager’s role is to lead and support the IFS team in order to make the restaurant and Swedish food market more profitable and efficient. Besides keeping things running smoothly on a day-to-day basis, the job includes a strategic and a legal angle – developing an annual action plan with relevant financial goals and ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation. | |
| Working in the restaurant in the very heart of the store, an assistant manager is responsible for organising and optimising meal preparation in the kitchen, applying the rules of good daily planning. In charge of a team, this job involves staff training, knowledge of local hygiene requirements and the ability to implement changes if necessary. It helps to be well-organised and thorough, be service-oriented and have some experience of commercial kitchens. | |
| At IFS we focus on two things: food and service. Job roles in this area include everything from food preparation and serving in the restaurant to selling or merchandising goods in the Swedish food market. The qualities demanded for all these roles are that you should be service minded, able to think commercially, be interested in food and attentive to matters of hygiene. | |
