Creating your virtual kitchen is a snap. Drag and drop kitchen units and appliances into layouts, view them in 3-D, save them on your PC. If your area supports it, you can even save your plans to the IKEA server, allowing you to access them from your IKEA store or any other internet-ready PC.
If your PC is unable to download the Planner Tool, don’t worry – IKEA has ‘low-tech’ tools like wooden blocks in the store, or try out the paper ’punch-outs’ from the IKEA kitchen handbook, available at your local store.

Instructions for downloading and installing:

1. Click on download button above to download the installer.
2. When prompted, save this program to your computer.
3. Browse to the installer and double-click to begin installation.
4. Follow the prompts to set up and run the program. Note: you may first be asked to download an additional program called DirectX in order to install this program. You can find this program by clicking on the button below.

System requirements:

PC running Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT or ME Pentium class processor with at least 128 MB of RAM, 25 MB of free hard drive space, 8 MB of Video RAM 800 x 600 minimum screen resolution XGA, 16 bit colour. Unfortunately the planner tool does not yet run on MAC operating systems. We apologize for the inconvenience.
