About the IKEA Group
The founder of IKEA, Ingvar Kamprad, wanted to create an ownership structure and an organisation that stand for independence and a long-term approach. That is why, since 1982, the IKEA Group has been owned by a foundation.

The IKEA Group itself encompasses all IKEA operations – the Swedwood industrial group, distribution and warehousing divisions and the companies that own stores in countries around the globe.

Stichting INGKA Foundation
The Stichting INGKA Foundation owns the IKEA Group while the INGKA Holding B.V. is the parent company for all IKEA Group companies. Both are based in the Netherlands. Members of the Supervisory Board are: Göran Grosskopf (Chairman), Mathias Kamprad, Lars-Johan Jarnheimer, Göran Lindahl, Carl Wilhelm Ros, Bruno Winborg and Magdalena Gerger. Ingvar Kamprad, who retired from Group Management in 1986, is Senior Advisor.

IKEA Group Management
IKEA Group Management consists of: Anders Dahlvig (Group President and CEO), Ian Duffy, Sören Hansen, Peter Högsted, Lars Gejrot, Pernille Lopez, Torbjörn Lööf, Mikael Ohlsson, Josephine Rydberg-Dumont, Göran Stark and Werner Weber.

IKEA Services B.V. and IKEA Services AB
IKEA Services B.V. and IKEA Services AB with nine staff units in the Netherlands and Sweden support the work of all Group companies. Inter IKEA Systems B.V. grants all IKEA franchises.

IKEA stores
IKEA has stores in more than 44 countries, most of which belong to the IKEA Group (the franchise holder). The remaining stores are owned and run by other franchisees. To read more, please visit IKEA Group stores.
