What is not covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee does not apply to either fixed or removable fabric or leather covers, and any comfort cushions that are sold separately from those that are included with the sofa or armchair.

This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned using incorrect cleaning methods or cleaning products.

This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents.

This guarantee does not apply if the product has been placed outdoors, in prolonged direct sunlight or in a humid environment or if the products have been used for non domestic purposes.

This guarantee does not cover consequential or incidental damage suffered by any person.

This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers defects in material and workmanship in the METOD kitchen system and the VÄRDE freestanding kitchen series. This guarantee is to the benefit of the original purchaser of the product. It is not transferable.

METOD guarantee (PDF size 1.2MB)

What products are not covered under this guarantee?
Knobs, handles, FYNDIG and LILLTRÄSK worktop. FÖRVARA drawers, UTRUSTA wire baskets, TUTEMO and HÖRDA open cabinet have a 10-year guarantee.


Freestanding kitchens
What products are covered under this guarantee?

This guarantee covers defects in material and workmanship on all the parts in the VÄRDE freestanding kitchen series.


What products are not covered under this guarantee?
VÄRDE knobs and handles, appliances, mixer taps, shelves and wall shelves in solid wood are not covered by the guarantee.


FYNDIG kitchen system
FYNDIG is not covered by this guarantee.
Everyday Quality Guarantee

Appliances

What is covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee covers faults of the appliance, which have been caused by faulty construction or material faults, and is valid from the date of purchase from IKEA. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. This guarantee applies to domestic use only. The exceptions are specified under the headline "What is not covered under this guarantee?" Within the guarantee period, the costs to remedy the fault e.g. repairs, parts, labour and travel for repair staff will be covered, provided that the appliance is accessible for repair without additional expenditure to gain access. On these conditions, the respective local regulations are applicable.

Which appliances are covered under this guarantee?
The 5-year guarantee is valid for all domestic IKEA appliances and covers defects in materials and workmanship.


Which appliances are not covered under this guarantee?
All appliances purchased from IKEA before 1st of August 2007, except for LAGAN appliances, which have a 2-year guarantee.


Who will execute the service?
The IKEA service provider will provide the service through its own service operations or authorised service partner network.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
•Normal wear and tear • Deliberate or negligent damage, damage caused by failure to observe operating instructions, incorrect installation or by connection to the wrong voltage, damage caused by chemical or electro-chemical reaction, rust, corrosion or water damage including but not limited to damage caused by excessive lime in the water supply, damage caused by abnormal environmental conditions •Consumable parts including batteries and lamps •Non-functional and decorative parts which do not affect normal use of the appliance, including any scratches and possible colour differences •Accidental damage caused by foreign objects or substances and cleaning or unblocking of filters, drainage systems or soap drawers •Damage to the following parts: ceramic glass, accessories, crockery and cutlery baskets, feed and drainage pipes, seals, lamps and lamp covers, screens, knobs, casings and parts of casings •Cases where no fault could be found during a technician’s visit •Repairs not carried out by our appointed service providers and/or an authorised service contractual partner or where nonoriginal parts have been used •Repairs caused by installation which is faulty or not according to specification •The use of the appliance in a non-domestic environment i.e. professional use This restriction does not apply to fault-free work carried out by a qualified specialist using our original parts in order to adapt the appliance to the technical safety specifications of another EU country.

If it is covered by this guarantee, IKEA will pay the costs of repairs, spare parts, labour and travel for repair staff, that IKEA incur, provided that the product is accessible for repair without special expenditure.
