General conditions for all guarantees

What is Guaranteed?
The extent of the guarantee given for each product is described alongside each product below. The following description and conditions of the guarantee listed as below are only applicable to products sold at IKEA Hong Kong.

Duration of Guarantee
Each guarantee lasts for the number of years stated against each product below, starting from the date of purchase.

Conditions for the guarantees
The guarantees are valid from the original date of first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales memo issued by IKEA Hong Kong is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.

Exclusions
The guarantees do not apply to products that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products.
The guarantees do not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents.
The guarantees do not cover damages caused by external factors such as exposure to the sun, dampness, dust or mites etc.
The guarantees do not apply to bargain items; or any products without the original sales memo.

Care instructions
To be able to rely on this guarantee you need to follow the specific care instructions for every product.

How to reach us if you need service?
Please keep all the original Sales Memos issued by IKEA Hong Kong as proof of purchase which is required to apply for the guarantees for every product.

Everyday quality guarantees

FAKTUM

IKEA HK will provide 5 years guarantee to the following FAKTUM kitchen series ("this Guarantee").

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This Guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects in material of the cabinet frames, INTEGRAL hinges, RATIONELL inside drawers, RATIONELL melamine shelves, and abnormal colour or shape changes of PERSONLIG solid worktop for 5 years from the date of first purchase as evidenced by the original sales memo issued by IKEA HK. Customer is required to produce all original sales memos to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacements. IKEA HK will provide 6 months kitchen installation guarantee for kitchen installation service. This guarantee covers the damages of the kitchen series products mentioned above caused by installation for 6 months from the date of first purchase as evidenced by the original sales memo issued by IKEA HK. Customer is required to produce all original sales memos to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.

GALANT/EFFEKTIV

IKEA HK will provide 5 years Guarantee to the following products from GALANT and EFFEKTIV series (“this Guarantee”).

GALANT: table tops, frames, legs, drawer units and storage units
EFFEKTIV: bases/plinth, add-on units/cabinets, doors, drawer/roll fronts

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This Guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects of the product from GALANT and EFFEKTIV series listed above for 5 years from the date of first purchase as evidenced by the original sales memo issued by IKEA HK. Customer is required to produce all original sales memos to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.

POÄNG

IKEA HK will provide 5 years guarantee to POÄNG armchair and footstool ("this Guarantee").

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This Guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects in material of the frames, for 5 years from the date of first purchase as evidenced by the original sales memo issued by IKEA HK. Customer is required to produce all original sales memos to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.

Sofa and sofa-bed

IKEA HK will provide 5 years guarantee to the following sofa series ("this Guarantee"):
EKTORP, IKEA STOCKHOLM, KARLSTAD, KIVIK, VRETA, TIDAFORS which include armchair, chaise longue, two-seat sofa, three-seat sofa, two-seat sofa with chaise longue, corner sofa and sofa-bed.

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This Guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects in material of the frame, legs and springs for 5 years from the date of first purchase as evidenced by the original sales memo issued by IKEA HK. Customer is required to produce all original sales memos to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.

SULTAN mattress

IKEA HK will provide 25 years guarantee to the following SULTAN mattress series ("this Guarantee"), which include:
Spring mattresses: HAGAVIK, HAMNVIK, HARESTUA, HEIDAL, HERAND, HJELMÅS, HJÄRTDAL, HUGLO.
Foam mattresses: FÄVANG, FIDJETUN, FLATAKER, FLOKENES, FLORVÄG, FÖNNES, FOSSING.
Latex mattresses: ERFJORFD, ELSFJORD, ENGENES.

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This Guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects relating to the springs in reversible spring mattress, foam core in foam mattress, latex core in latex mattress of the SULTAN mattresses listed above for 25 years from the date of first purchase as evidenced by the original sales memo issued by IKEA HK. Customer is required to produce all original sales memos to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.

Try it at home for 90 days

It is important to us that you love your new mattress. So, if after a while you discover that it is too firm, too soft, or too something else, we will exchange it or you can have your money back. And there’s no rush. You have 100 days to sleep on it.

*100-day mattress and mattress pad trial does not include JÖMNA mattresses; all SULTAN mattress bases; all children and baby mattresses and mattress pads. Please contact our staff for more details.
