IKEA recalls IKEA FOOD labelled marinated herring


If you have purchased an IKEA FOOD labelled jar of marinated herring with a Best Before Date 13-02-2008 or earlier please return it to your local IKEA store for a full refund. IKEA has received two reports where customers have found a large piece of glass in IKEA FOOD labelled jars of marinated herring. To our knowledge no one has been hurt. Safety is always a priority at IKEA and as a precautionary measure IKEA is recalling IKEA FOOD labelled jars of marinated herring (DILLSILL, SENAPSSILL, INLAGD SILL) with a Best Before Date 13-02-2008 or earlier. The Best Before Date (DD-MM-YYYY) is to be found on the label directly above the bar code. The IKEA FOOD labelled marinated herring is sold in the Swedish Food Markets at IKEA stores (located after the checkouts near the exit) . Only IKEA FOOD labelled jars of marinated herring with a Best Before Date 13-02-2008 or earlier are involved in the recall. IKEA FOOD labelled marinated herring with Best Before Date 14-02-2008 and later are not affected by the recall. Abba labeled marinated herring is also not affected by the recall.
