Requirements on wood suppliers
Supplier of IKEA products containing solid wood, veneer, plywood or layer-glued wood must comply with IKEA minimum forestry requirements. These include that the wood in IKEA products must not
- come from forests that have been illegally harvested
- come from forestry operations engaged in forest related social conflicts
- be harvested in uncertified intact natural forests or high conservation value forests
- be harvested from natural tropical and sup-tropical forests converted to plantations
- be from known Genetically Modified (GM) tree plantations
