IKEA wants all customers who have purchased an ALVINE, IRIS or MELINA roman shade, or an ISDANS, TUPPLUR and ENJE roller blind to contact or visit their local IKEA store to receive updated installation instructions containing important safety information. If installed incorrectly cords and looped bead chains on roman shades and roller blinds could present a possible strangulation hazard to young children. The safety of our customers and co-workers is always the highest priority at IKEA. Customers who have installed a Roman shade or Roller blind are asked to check that the product has been correctly installed. To reduce the risk of entanglement or strangulation always keep cords and looped bead chains out of reach of young children, install safety devices provided that remove cords or reduce the access to cords, and move cots and furniture that children could climb on away from blinds and shades.
