Bring the street art home
Street art is free for anyone to enjoy. You can just grab a bike and discover art in your own hometown. It’s the most democratic art form that exists. So we are excited to have street art as the first theme for IKEA art event. Let’s celebrate street art! We invited 12 street artists from around the world to create 12 unique 70x100cm posters for IKEA. We hope that the different styles and expressions will evoke emotions in the everyday life - of everyone who loves great art.
Limited collection in stores this month while stocks last only.
Super extravagant posters
We decided to fuse street art with posters so that it becomes accessible and affordable for everyone. Using carefully selected printing techniques the artists were able to customise each poster, making them as individual as possible. The artists used different kinds of paper, but also the adding of effects -3D, glossy, different lacquer expressions and “glow in the dark” lustre. Yes, the posters are a bit extravagant. But so is art.
