Extended guarantees
3-year IKEA guarantee
IKEA Česká republika, s.r.o., provides extended guarantee for the majority of products lasting for 3 years! Pot plants, bulbs, alkaline batteries, IKEA FAMILY cosmetic products and food are covered by statutory guarantee.
Apart from this 3-year guarantee that is 1 year longer than the statutory one extended guarantee is provided by IKEA Česká republika s.r.o. for selected products.
FAKTUM kitchen
What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers all of the following parts of the FAKTUM kitchen system: •Cabinet frames • Door and fronts •INTEGRAL hinges •RATIONELL fully-extending drawers •RATIONELL shelves in tempered glass and melamine •RATIONELL wire baskets •Plinths •Legs •Cover panels •Deco strips/mouldings •Worktops that are at least 3.8 cm thick •Sinks •PERFEKT shelves and end units • RATIONELL bottom trays for base cabinet •RATIONELL drawers under oven •RATIONELL floor-level drawers • RATIONELL drainers for wall cabinets
What is not covered under this guarantee?
Knobs, handles and work tops that are less then 3, 8 cm thick.
Freestanding kitchens
What products are covered under this guarantee? This guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship on all the parts in the VÄRDE freestanding kitchen range.
What products are not covered under this guarantee?
VÄRDE knobs and handles, appliances, mixer taps, shelves and wall shelves in solid wood are not covered by this guarantee
LAGAN kitchen system
LAGAN is not covered by guarantee at all.
POÄNG
What is covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee covers defects in material and workmanship in the following components of POÄNG armchair frame and POÄNG footstool frame. •Layer-glued frame •Fittings •Supporting fabric. This guarantee covers domestic use only.
What products are not covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee does not apply to POÄNG covers and POÄNG children’s armchair.
SULTAN
What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship in the following components of the SULTAN mattresses and/or bed bases described below. •Wooden frame and springs in wooden base sprung mattresses. •Springs in reversible sprung mattresses. •Foam core in foam mattresses. •Latex core in latex mattresses. •Wooden frame and slats in slatted bed bases. •Electric motor in electrically-operated beds (5-year guarantee). This guarantee covers domestic use only.
What products are not covered under this guarantee?

90 nights to test the mattress
Take the opportunity and test SULTAN mattress at home - you can have it for 90 nights! Experienced orthopaedists say that we can really enjoy a new mattress after 2 – 3 nights. That is why we offer you the possibility to test your mattress at home for 90 nights. If you find out that the chosen mattress does not fit your needs - despite all of the information and thorough testing - you can bring it back to IKEA store undamaged and we will help you to choose another one.

PAX/KOMPLEMENT
What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship in the following components of the PAX wardrobes and KOMPLEMENT interior fittings: •Frames •Doors •Hinges •Sliding door mechanism •Drawer gliders •Shelves and clothes rails. This guarantee covers domestic use only.
What products are not covered under this guarantee? KOMPLEMENT wire basket, KOMPLEMENT box in plastic and textile, KOMPLEMENT pull-out shelf in plastic, KOMPLEMENT trouser hanger and KOMPLEMENT shoe organiser.
KITCHEN MIXER TAPS
What is covered under this guarantee?
The 10-year guarantee is valid for all kitchen mixer taps at IKEA, except LAGAN kitchen mixer tap. This guarantee covers defects in material and workmanship. The guarantee covers domestic use only.
What is not covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee does not cover products used in a corrosive environment.
APPLIANCES, 5 YEAR GUARANTEE
What is covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee covers faults of the appliance, which have been caused by faulty construction or material faults. The guarantee is valid from the date of purchase from IKEA. This guarantee applies to domestic use only. The exceptions are specified under the headline "What is not covered under this guarantee?" Within the guarantee period, the costs to remedy the fault e.g. repairs, parts, labour and travel for repair staff will be covered, provided that the appliance is accessible for repair without additional expenditure to gain access. On these conditions, the EU regulation (Nr. 99/44/EG) and local regulations are applicable. The replaced parts become a property of IKEA.
How long is the guarantee valid?
The guarantee is valid for five (5) years from the date of purchase of an appliance from IKEA. For LAGAN appliances three-year guarantee is provided. If a repair of the product is carried out under guarantee it will not extend the guarantee period for the appliance, or for the new parts.
Which appliances are covered under this guarantee?
The 5-year guarantee is valid for all IKEA appliances apart from LAGAN appliance for which a three-year guarantee is valid.
Which appliances are not covered under this guarantee? All appliances purchased in IKEA before August 1, 2007.
Who will provide service?
IKEA provides service through its own service operations or authorized service partner network.
What is not covered under this guarantee?
•Normal wear and tear • Deliberate or negligent damage, damage caused by failure to observe operating instructions, incorrect installation or by connection to the wrong voltage, damage caused by chemical or electro-chemical reaction, rust, corrosion or water damage including but not limited to damage caused by excessive lime in the water supply, damage caused by abnormal environmental conditions •Consumable parts including batteries and lamps •Non-functional and decorative parts which do not affect normal use of the appliance, including any scratches and possible colour differences •Accidental damage caused by foreign objects or substances and cleaning or unblocking of filters, drainage systems or soap drawers •Damage to the following parts: ceramic glass, accessories, crockery and cutlery baskets, feed and drainage pipes, seals, bulbs and bulb covers, fixtures, casings and parts of casings; except the defects/damages caused by a faulty production •Cases where no fault could be found during a technician’s visit •Repairs not carried out by our appointed service providers and/or an authorised service contractual partner or where original parts were NOT used •Repairs caused by installation which is faulty or not according to specification •The use of the appliance in a non-domestic environment i.e. professional use. • Damage during transport: in case the customer delivers the product home or to another place himself/herself, IKEA does not hold any responsibility for damages that may appear during such transport. In case the delivery is ensured by IKEA transport services, the damage will be settled at IKEA expenses (but not under this guarantee) – in this case the customer should contact Customer service department at www.ikea.cz. • Cost of basic installation of IKEA . This restriction does not apply to fault-free work carried out by a qualified specialist using original spare parts in order to adapt the appliance to the technical safety specifications of another EU country.
JERRIK, KLÄPPE, MARKUS, VERKSAM What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship of the parts that follow: • Frame • Movable parts.
BESTÅ, FRAMSTÅ, INREDA What is covered under this guarantee? This guarantee covers material defects of BESTÅ range products (all products), all products f FRAMSTÅ range, and the following products from INREDA range: drawer, drawer without front, fully extending drawer, extendable frame, separate shelf 26x16 cm, separate shelf 56x16 cm and a separate shelf 56x36 cm. This guarantee applies to domestic use only.
What is not covered under this guarantee? This guarantee does not cover INREDA range products with the exception of above mentioned
GODMORGON
What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers defects in material and workmanship of the following components of cabinets, wash basins, mixer taps, interior fitting and drainage valves: • GODMORGON cabinets • Legs and trestles GRUNDTAL and MOLGER • Wash basins ODENSVIK from glazed ceramics incl. the drainage valve • Washbasins from the crushed marble BRÅVIKEN, NORRVIKEN and BREDVIKEN and drainage valve • Mixer taps LEDSKÄR, LÅNGSKÄR, KATTSKÄR GRUNDTAL and DALSKÄR. This guarantee applies to domestic use only.
What is not covered under this guarantee?
• Aerator – a component of mixer taps.
SPARSAM What is covered under this guarantee? This guarantee covers defects in function, material and workmanship of energy-saving bulbs of SPARSAM range.
What is not covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee does not cover products exposed to the temperature–10 oC or above +40 oC. In moist environment - for ex. in the bathroom or a greenhouse, the SPARSAM bulbs can be used only in lamps approved for use in the moist environment.

It means that under common domestic use and provided all conditions for use and maintenance are met your knives will be like new, even after the guarantee period expires. Common use includes food cutting, cleaning after use and regular sharpening. The guarantee covers: • Sharpness. The knife should be sharpened after purchase and then regularly every day. The blade of the knife is made of hardened steel so it can be sharpened whenever needed during the guarantee period. • Handle durability. The handle should not crack, break or fall of the blade. • Anti-corrosiveness
What is not covered under this guarantee? The guarantee cannot be applied to the following products of SLITBAR range: • Carving fork SLITBAR (part of the set – carving fork and knife) • Knife block SLITBAR, dark brown /stainless steel • Sharpening steel SLITBAR, length 25 cm, stainless steel.

What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers defects in function, material and workmanship of all knives of above mentioned ranges. It means that under common domestic use and provided all conditions for use and maintenance are met your knives will be like new, even after the guarantee period expires. Common use includes food cutting, cleaning after use and regular sharpening. The guarantee covers: • Sharpness. The knife should be sharpened after purchase and then regularly every day. The blade of the knife is made of hardened steel so it can be sharpened whenever needed during the guarantee period. • Handle durability.
