If you can’t, or don’t want to, fix things into the walls, try using a piece of wood (pine works well) and fix things onto that instead, like we’ve done in this video.

It could be hooks, ledges, mirrors - whatever inspires you. You can even paint or decorate the wood if you like. It’s mobile, too, so you can move it around the room as you like – and can even bring it along to your next place.
