Local Community Support
The IKEA vision globally is to “create a better everyday life for the many.” At IKEA Dublin, we are dedicated to striving toward achieving that vision in our store and our local community.
IKEA is proud to support selected non profit organisations in the following areas: Children and the Environment. Currently our charity of the year is the Children's Sunshine Home. We also support the Ballymun Regeneration Project, Aisling Project and Local Schools.

Free Recycling at IKEA
As part of our environmental practices we offer free recycling at our store. Our free Bring Centre is located via the west entrance (Finglas side) where you can drop off glass bottles, tin cans and packaging such as cardboard, paper, shrink wrap and plastic. You can also drop off old electrical appliances such as ovens, fridges and dishwashers. Inside the store beside the Exit we have a Recycle Desk for batteries, energy saving bulbs and small electrical items. Electrical items or packaging does not have to be from IKEA.
We also offer a furniture take-back service for our Home Delivery customers on sofas, beds and mattresses. There is a €25 charge per item which covers the cost of recycling, transport and storage. Where possible we donate furniture to reuse shops via our partnership with the Community Reuse Network. For more information contact Customer Services in-store.
