The bohemian chill out
Our copywriter Katie’s dream sofa set up is all about relaxing bohemian-style amongst lots of cushions and warm colours. To get the look at home, think about building from a neutral coloured background, adding rich red and yellow furnishings and finish off by adding vintage pieces and bold patterned cushions.
“To be totally honest, I’m pretty lazy. So I imagined this sofa in a kind of bedouin style set-up, with cushions piled up everywhere. This is where I’d read a book, watch a series or anything else that involves lots of lounging around.”
The graphic effect
For designer Ane the sofa would work great as a work spot in the middle of a pop art creative space. To make this style go big with colourful triangles on the wall, use a square frame to hang pictures, and use pillows with matching colours to connect the style.
“I guess I’m a pretty graphic kinda person, so my first thought was that it’d be a great work place, where I could scatter stuff around me and mess about with some projects.”
The garden room
What do you think of this social garden room? To get the look go with earthy toned textiles, a green background, and try to frame the sofa with lots of plants nestling from the sides. Don’t be afraid to keep elements of what you want to use it for close to hand. Jamie here has gone for cocktails and gardening.
“ I love a cocktail, specially with a sunny afternoon served along with it. I think it’d be rad to set the sofa up in the garden and have a few friends over for a couple of drinks and a good ‘ol banter.”
