Always be ready for last-minute guests

03 November 2016

When the holidays begin to sneak up on you, so do the last-minute guests. Don’t stress, just be prepared. Then kick back and enjoy the good company.

1. A FULLY STOCKED FREEZER can be your best friend (and saviour) during the holidays. Luckily, we’ve got pretty much everything you need to see you through a slew of unplanned meals. Just dress up veggie balls, cheese pies, a seriously tasty loaf of bread, and more with some fresh ingredients, and you’re all set for dinner (and lunch... And breakfast). Check out our freezer-friendly foods here.

3. MAKE SPACE FOR DROP-IN DINNER GUESTS by always having extra essentials at the ready. A fold-up table is easy to store flat against a closet wall and adds so much more space for extra diners. Add extra seating like step stools, benches and stackable stools (they’re totally essential and take up no extra space at all).

4. YOU DON’T NEED A SOFA BED TO CREATE AN EXTRA SLEEPING SPACE. Layer an extra mattress or two on your day bed (which is another sleeping space in itself) and just move them down to the floor when you’ve got two or more folks sleeping over. Stash extra blankets and pillows in a basket nearby.

We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
