4 ways to fake a window seat

You may not have a garden or a balcony in your new space, but (#winning) you do have a window. And the view’s not half bad. So why not make the most of it by adding a spot to sit for sights and moments of reflection? We headed down to the IKEA Lab to see what configurations worked for us, and here are four fabulous results for you to try, starting with the simplest: a long, cushioned bench and some comfy cushions to prop yourself up against.

Are you allowed fasten things to the wall? Kitchen cabinets mounted under the window provide serious (and sturdy) birdwatching potential – and some extra storage space.
