IKEA Warrington

IKEA is embracing a better way to produce cotton. Working together with partners such as the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and WWF® has enabled more than 100,000 cotton farmers to significantly reduce water, chemical pesticide and fertiliser use, while increasing their earnings. By 2015 we want all the cotton we use to be produced this way. Through the IKEA Foundation we also work closely with Save the Children and UNICEF to give at least 16 million children in cotton growing communities better opportunities in life.
Creating a better life for people and our communities
IKEA Warrington in the community
At IKEA Warrington, we are dedicated to giving back to the local communities where our co-workers live and work. In 2013 we have collaborated with the following non-profit organizations:
● Long Lane Garden Centre (Walton Lee Project)
● YMCA Warrington
● Save the Children Shop, Stockton Heath.
● Longton Community Project, Preston.

Every year the IKEA soft toy campaign raises money for educational projects in partnership with UNICEF AND SAVE THE CHILDREN. At a store level we also promote a give twice campaign. Here soft toys are donated to local hospitals.
