Make a fantastically cosy autumn home

02 October 2015

The day’s are getting shorter, the wind’s a little crisp, luckily the time’s perfect for cosying up your indoors. Come see how we love to use textiles to celebrate the season outside, make the home warmer and more energy efficient too.

CHANGE OF SEASON, CHANGE OF COLOUR. Using textiles are a great way to update the look of your home without spending too much. We’re really into using muted neutral colours this season; soft greys and earthy tones that reflect the season outside.

Using curtains lets you adjust light, privacy and they work really well to help insulate a room. By using two light curtains and a darker coloured pull down blind you get a good control of all three things. RUGS AREN’T JUST GREAT for those of us that like to walk barefoot all year round, they also help to keep your home warmer, quieter and protect your floors. Need a hand choosing the right size one? Come find out over here.

WE LOVE THIS IDEA OF HANGING TEXTILES to make a space in the room that is warmer, calmer and more personal. This one is easy to put up. Just hang two 2 metre poles from the ceiling using string or something similar, then loop over 2 lengths of a light coloured metre fabric. Lastly, just hang a few autumn momentos from a curtain wire, and add plenty of cushions and a blanket, curl up on the sofa and enjoy the season’s cosiness. Like these sofa mattresses?
