4 KITCHEN CABINET HACKS FOR THE REST OF THE HOME

01 August 2015

Who says that kitchen cabinets have to live in the kitchen? Our modular system, METOD, offers lots of possibilities for creating all sorts of furniture. You can add legs, play around with different sizes and choose from loads of different door styles. So we think it’s got lots to offer all around the home. Here’s 4 ways we especially like.

The graphic hallway cabinet

We made this with two 80 cm wall cabinets and some metal legs underneath. These doors are actually textured – so it creates a really graphic look. With a couple of mirrors propped up on top, it works great as a small table for your entryway.

A simple side table

A 40 cm cabinet on a set of legs makes for a perfect table to have next to the sofa – ideal if you need a bit of extra storage. And here’s a bonus: they’re a perfect fit for LP’s to stack vertically and be safe from light and heat, if that’s your thing.

A curiosities cabinet

Here we’ve combined four of the 40 cm cabinets with these legs. We got inspired by the idea of storing art supplies in it, but it could work just as well for more practical things like bed linens and stuff for setting the table. Got lots to store? You could just as easily add another two cabinets to the top or the side.

Custom office furniture

Here we used 40 cm drawers in different heights to create a custom office cabinet. The big drawers could be good filing drawers while the small ones are an easy fit for small stuff like pens and stationery.
