Same room stripped back to the IKEA bed, bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Start with the harmony
Our top tip is to get furniture that matches. It lays a great foundation for the rest of the room. Bedroom sets make it easy with coordinating bed, wardrobes, side tables and chest of drawers.
Another way to achieve that pulled together look is to update your old favourites by painting them in the same colour. Remember, these pieces play a big part in your room, so choose a colour or finish that you really like.
Dress it with textiles
Textiles add comfort and cosiness and are a cost-effective way to change the style of any room.

Window dressings in solid colours make the room look larger. And, if you’ve opted for plain walls and curtains, it’s safe to go bold with your bed linen. Colour, patterns or graphics work well on the bed. And if you change your mind, change the duvet cover!
Dazzle and shine
Every bedroom needs at least one mirror, but why not a few? Not only functional, mirrors reflect light making a room look bigger and adding a stylish touch of sparkle. Cluster small mirrors together to create a graphic shape on the wall or go large with an over-sized mirror leant against the wall. Either way, you’ll make a bright statement.
