Embark in “comfort class” for the holidays "IKEA lounge", the first democratic airport lounge open to everybody!
[National]  After the rail and the road... the air! IKEA makes a stopover during 3 weeks at Terminal 3 of the Paris, Charles de Gaulle airport, by opening the first VIP lounge, open to everybody, a treat from IKEA to improve everyday life for the many, even when leaving for holidays.
For the brand, this unique event is the next step of an extraordinary saga.
From July 13th to August 5th 2012, IKEA is offering a completely free and unusual experience for travellers of this terminal: enjoy the waiting time in the boarding area while relaxing comfortably on a sofa, watching TV or resting in a good bed.

Finally an Airport Lounge open to everybody

Because waiting time in the boarding area is on average 1 hour and 43 minutes, IKEA wanted its expertise in interior design to serve the economy class. The brand has thus installed a qualitative, well designed and comfortable area made for resting and relaxing, showing its commitment of improving the everyday life for the many.

A bubble of relaxation in the frenzy of going on holidays

Holiday departures are often a source of stress and nervousness. To make the journey start already in the Airport, IKEA and its partners have designed a space of about 200m², where the whole family can relax. The area, made up of 9 rooms, (including one accessible to disabled persons), a living room and a specificchildren’s area, the "IKEA Lounge" welcomes all passengers.

For free, visitors will enjoy a unique experience before boarding: greeted by a hostess, they can choose to settle themselves comfortably on a sofa while reading the press or watching TV or else enjoy the quality of the IKEA mattresses while taking a nap.
Children can have fun in a secure area of 50 m², under the supervision of qualified instructors specialized in childcare.

Once the experience is finished, the passengers will leave rested and ready to start the holidays in perfect shape!

This operation is created and carried out by ubi bene, (IKEA France’s Event agency), in collaboration with KR Media, (IKEA France’s Media agency), and in partnership with JCDecaux Airport Paris.
