Traditional, Contemporary and a Little Bit Country
[National]  This March, IKEA’s new product range is inspired by a mixture of traditional, contemporary and country pieces designed to help you make your home as individual as you are.
With everything from dinnerware, bedside tables, storage boxes, and intricate textile fabrics, there’s something for everybody.

Sally Dubois, IKEA Adelaide 1st Visual Merchandiser says “The new March products can fit into any home. With a number of textiles, accent furniture pieces, and homewares it is easy to simply and effortlessly renew your home without breaking the bank.”

Nodding to porcelain traditions of the past with its shades of blue and white, PROMENAD dinnerware has a classic, playful elegance with drifting hot air balloons, birds flying off edges, and mosaic-inspired motifs.

“The dinnerware set is a beautiful and versatile choice for the home and includes a bowl, side plate, deep plate and standard plate made of feldspar porcelain. The set can be used from everyday breakfasts to fine dinner parties, and all of the pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe making reheating and cleaning up a breeze,” says Sally.

The contemporary, geometric design of the SELJE bedside table gives it charm for what it lacks – a tiny cut out triangle from the drawer that not only acts as a drawer handle, but also as a design feature.

“The drawers are available in bright blue or crisp white, and are made of steel powder coating making them as durable and as they are functional. The drawer is also roomy enough for a power board and allows cords to run discreetly through a hole in the back,” says Sally.

Everybody loves a storage box, and KVITTRA boxes are no exception. With contemporary patterned personalities for all your storage needs, the designs include flowers, dots, squares, scribbles, stripes and triangles, and the insides are bright red so you don’t lose anything you stash away.

“Made of 100% recycled and laminated paper board, the boxes are available in four different sizes and patterns, and all come with clip on metal label holders to keep your home organised,” says Sally.

Swedish country style is genuine and simple for a casual, warm look and feel in the home. Woven checks and stripes are prominent features, as are traditional Swedish patterns and floral illustrations in knits, rag-rugs, embroidery and crochet.

“To recreate this style in your own home, look at easy to combine folkloric textiles like the ÅKERKULLA, ÅKERTISTEL and NYPONROS series with floral illustrations, woven stripes, and classic colour combinations. From here add traditional, functional wooden pieces from the HEMNES series and you’re well on your way to recreating the Swedish country style,” says Sally.
