Back to School Ready at IKEA
[National]  IKEA knows that the beginning of a school year is not just about new subjects and new people, but about a new study space too. With their range of products that are as functional as they are cool, IKEA will have every student back to school ready in no time.
IKEA Interior Designer – Katy Mills says, “Study spaces must be functional but definitely not boring – the ability for a student to personalise their space only increases their creativity, imagination, and desire to spend time there.”

No element in a study space is more important than the desk; it’s the foundation that lets a student’s mind run wild. The variety of mix & match solutions from the VIKA range allow customers to personalise the ideal study space.

“Anything is possible with a good desk. The beauty of the VIKA AMON table top is that it’s simple, spacious, and sturdy in its design – fitting seamlessly into any design scheme,” says Katy.

With a good desk, you need a good chair and nothing beats the comfortable SNILLE swivel chair with its moulded seat and back for those long hours of study and sometimes procrastination.

“The SNILLE swivel chair is a favourite for students; it’s available in a range of colours which makes it just as fashionable as it is practical. The problem won’t be trying to get kids to their desk, it will be trying to get them away from it,” says Katy.

Once the basics are taken care of it becomes all about the accessories when personalising a study space. The DOKUMENT range which includes magazine files, pen holders, and a wastepaper basket are ideal for making a space visually appealing as well as practical.

“Accessories are the perfect way for a student to express their personality without impacting the functionality of a space, the DOKUMENT products are a perfect example of this and for those with less space at their disposal, products like the PLUGGIS container with hanging rail are ideal,” says Katy.
