A Season for Sorting
[National]  Spring is officially here, which can only mean one thing; the season for sorting is upon us. No need to stress, just keep calm, IKEA has all the organisational necessities you may need.
Whether it is getting your home organised for the upcoming warmer months, doing a bit of spring cleaning, or business as usual, spring is a time of change for most households. Wintertime staples and necessities get boxed up and packed away, as the search for last year’s summer clothing begins.

To help ease the transition and make life a little more organised, IKEA has plenty of imaginative, and inspiring ideas to sort your home this spring season.

IKEA Interior Designer Kyle Jonhnson says “Get creative! Combine cupboards, wardrobes, hooks, baskets and drawers to create a suitable storage area by making the most of the space you have. Fall in love with organisation; you know what needs to be stored, just add boxes, drawer organisers, and your imagination to create a clean and organised space.”

Organisation can be as customised or inventive as you want. Always forget your keys? Give them a designated hook to hang on by the door. Sick of winter boots and footwear all over the floor or bottom of the wardrobe? Display them cleverly in a BORGSJÖ or DETOLF glass-door cabinet, or invest in some SKUBB boxes which can stack neatly, or even hang from a rail in your wardrobe.

“Getting organised for spring doesn’t have to be boring. You can get creative and make your own storage systems as well. Ideas like storage pockets not only look great, but can also serve as a feature element in your home.”

“Storage pockets are easy to make, and are easily customisable. All you need to do is choose different fabrics to suit your home, figure out the uses of each pocket to decide the size, and then sew them all together to create an eye-catching wall display.” Kyle says.

The satisfaction of creating an organised place for everything is fulfilling, and can inspire you to spring clean your entire life.

Spring clean your life by visiting your local IKEA store.
