Spread the Joy of the Holiday Season with IKEA
[National]  With the holiday season just around the corner, IKEA are set to excite party hosts and guests alike, opening their eyes to limitless options and ideas with their extensive range of unique seasonal products for Christmas.
Say goodbye to messy live pines and bulky artificial trees, IKEA have opened up a new way of thinking when it comes to the humble Christmas tree, with options ranging from modern to traditional, simple, or screaming for attention.

IKEA 1st Visual Merchandiser, Corinna Gerhard says, “We understand that our customers have a range of needs – not everyone wants the big traditional Christmas tree. For this reason we have a range of products that will satisfy any number of needs.”

Set to be an instant attention grabber and conversation starter, the MARGARETA metre fabric, featuring a two metre tall image of a tree can be stretched over a canvas and placed anywhere in the house.

“The options are endless, a few adhesive hooks and the canvas can instantly come to life using hanging decorations, lights, gift bags or a combination of all. It will be sure to have all the beauty of a traditional tree with the ideal space saving capacity that people crave,” says Corinna.

For those longing for something a bit more three dimensional, the FEJKA artificial pot plant has all the appeal of a live plant without the mess and the JULMYS Christmas tree, made from sturdy corrugated cardboard is the ideal space saver; including decorative stickers in place of ornaments – the perfect holiday activity for kids.

“Christmas trees can be created from just about anything in your home. Hang baubles from a lampshade, collect a bundle of sticks and decorate with lights, or hang baubles around a three tiered cake stand.”

Not forgetting the cherry on top, IKEA also have an extensive range of ornamental decorations to suit every theme, made from a range of materials as well as an assortment of gift-wrap options; ensuring that the outside matches the exciting inside.

“With everything available from silver bows and bright red ribbons to stripes, dots, trees, snowflakes and cookies, there’s no shortage of wrapping staples,” says Corinna.

The IKEA range of Christmas products and decorations will be available in store from 18 October 2012.
